LIAIM - Andrea's Home of Hope & Joy 2023 Winter Update

As the dawn of 2023 broke, Andreas Home of Hope and Joy was already bustling with excitement and anticipation. Love In Action International Ministries along with the children and staff stood on the threshold of new beginnings, our hearts brimming with gratitude for the journey we had traveled and hope for the path ahead.

The Cafe/Bakery project, a labor of love and faith, had reached its culmination, and we couldn't be more thrilled. On February 1, we flung open the doors of our new establishment, welcoming the community with open arms. Our prayer and goal is that the cafe will grow into a source income to help with the expenses of Andrea’s Home.

Currently, the economical issues the region faces have certainly slowed down this goal. The Café became a sustainable source, providing work for the youth, paying its own

bills, and other little expenses. As of yet, it isn’t a significant part in contributing to the general budget. Andrea’s Home still counts on donations for paying the bills. Our prayers are that Bolivia’s economy will improve in the near future and the Café/Bakery will increase its profit, bringing more resources for Hogar de Andrea’s needs.

But our work and prayers didn't stop there. Even as we celebrated the release of the Cafe/Bakery, we forged ahead with another need-oriented project - the Aging-Out Apartment building. This endeavor held a special place in our hearts as we sought to provide an apartment for young adults transitioning from their home with substitute parents on the main campus to independence in the apartment on property adjacent to the main campus.

As the walls of the apartment building began to rise, we were reminded of the countless lives that would be impacted by this endeavor. These young adults, often overlooked and forgotten, deserved a chance at a brighter future, and we were determined to provide them with the support and resources they needed to succeed.

To all who had partnered with Love in Action International Ministries through prayers and financial gifts, we extend our deepest gratitude. Your generosity had been the driving force behind our projects, and we were humbled by your faithfulness.

In the words of the Apostle Paul, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up" (Galatians 6:9, NIV). As we looked ahead, towards 2024 and beyond, we did so with hearts full of hope and expectation. We knew that God had great plans in store for Andreas Home of Hope and Joy, and we were eager to see His purposes unfold. So, we pressed on, fueled by faith and fortified by the knowledge that we were not alone in our endeavors. With every brick laid and every prayer uttered, we moved one step closer to our goal of bringing hope and joy to those children in need, living under a menacing environment.

As the year progressed, we continued to see God's hand at work in miraculous ways. Lives were transformed, hearts were healed, and hope has been restored. Through it all, we remained steadfast in our mission to love God and love others, knowing that in doing so, we were fulfilling the greatest commandment of all.

As we reflect on the past year, we are filled with gratitude for all that God has done. The Cafe/Bakery and Aging-Out Apartment building stand as monuments to His faithfulness and provision. Testaments to what can be accomplished when we surrender our plans to His will.

And so, as we embark on a new year filled with endless possibilities, we do so with hearts full of faith and anticipation. We know that whatever challenges may lie ahead, God is with us, guiding our steps and leading us ever closer to His perfect plan.

May His blessings continue to abound and may Andreas Home of Hope and Joy be a beacon of light and love for many years to come. Amen.
